Later this year Gongzilla will release a new studio recording with appearances by Chuck Garvey, Jake Cinninger, Dave Fiuczynski and Kai Eckhardt. In the interim, the group is hosting a show with a number of celebrated guests. On Friday January 18th at the L.A.‘s Troubadour, the group will take advantage of the NAMM Music Convention in nearby Anaheim to draw in some guest players. The 1st annual NAMM JAM will feature a number of guest musicians performing with Gongzilla, including moe.‘s Jim Loughlin, Jeff Pevar, Don Preston (Frank Zappa), Andre Cholmondeley (Project Object), Jonas Hellborg (John McLaughlin, Shawn Lane) and two former Particle guitarists: Charlie Hitchcock and Ben Combes. Delta Nove will open the night and Gongzilla pledges some additional unnamed performers will join in as well.
