Les Claypool’s directorial film debut, National Lampoon Presents Electric Apricot Quest for Festeroo will continue its theatrical run over the coming months. The DVD is set for a March 18 release along with an accompanying soundtrack. However in the weeks leading up to that there will still be opportunities to see the film in theaters. For instance, this very weekend, Merrill’s Roxy in Burlington, VT is offering midnight showings. Electric Apricot also will open at the Sunset 5 in Los Angeles next weekend, with the director himself on hand for a Q and A following the 7:35 p.m. and 10:00 p.m. screenings on February 15. For a bit more on the film and the bassist/drummer/actor/director’s plans for 2008, check out our recent site interview with Claypool.
