Galactic has confirmed some additional dates on what is shaping up to be a full world tour. After wrapping up a handful of previously confirmed European appearances, Galactic will head Down Under for a series of shows throughout Australia, including stops at the West Coast Blues N’ Roots Festival (3/16), Sydneys Oxford Art Factory (3/18), the East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival (3/21), the Point Nepean Festival (3/22) and Melbournes East Brunswick Club (3/23). From there, the group will head home for an April 9 opening spot for Widespread Panic at Cincinnati, OHs U.S. Bank Arena. The group will then play a number of headlining shows with special guests the Salvador Santana Band, beginning with an April 10 appearance at Toronto, ONs Lee’s Place. Looking ahead, Galactic has, of course, also confirmed a few dates timed with the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, including headlining spots at Tipitina’s Uptown (4/26 & 5/2) and the Riverboat Creole Queen (5/1).
