David Byrne, Lou Reed, Norah Jones and Laurie Anderson are among the performers scheduled to appear at Speak Up!: A Benefit Concert for Peace in Iraq & Justice at Home on March 18. The event will take place at Brooklyn, NYs St. Anns Warehouse on the fifth anniversary of the Iraq War, benefiting the United for Peace and Justice and Iraq Veterans Against the War. Other confirmed performers include Antony, Blonde Redhead, MEN, Moby, Damien Rice, the Scissor Sisters and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit star Richard Belzer, who will emcee the event. The benefit will also include an exhibition of photos by Timothy Greenfield-Sanders, depicting soldiers injured in the Iraq and Afghanistan Wars. In addition, Byrne will appear at St. Anns Warehouse on April 2 at the gala event Hal Willners Stay Awake Live, which will feature various interpretations of music from vintage Disney films.
