Umphreys McGee played three shows at Minneapolis, MNs First Avenue over the weekend and welcomed some area residents to the stage each night. On Friday Umphreys McGees Jake Cinninger, Joel Cummins and Kris Myers opened their own performance with an all-improv set alongside Big Wu bassist, Jambands.com columnist and Minnesota hero Andy Miller and Banyans Willie Waldman as The North Indiana Allstars. The next two nights the group also welcomed God Johnson saxophonist Kevin Sinclair for a portion of its shows, including Bloody Well Right on Saturday and Push the Pig, Ringo, Big Heart and Syncopated Strangers on Sunday.
