This weekend the funky Meters will make one of their increasingly rare performances at the Langerado Music Festival. However the band has announced four additional shows through the end of May. On March 14, the group will appear at the Que’In Festival in Alexandria, LA. Then on Saturday, May 3 the band will revel in Jazz Fest at Howlin’ Wolf on a bill with the Derek Trucks Band. Finally, the funky Meters will close out the month in the northeast with a show at B.B. King’s Blues Club on May 30, followed by a gig at Michael Arnone’s Crawfish Boil in Augusta, NJ on May 31.

Ryan Adams and Hot Rize To Join Leftover Salmon, Yonder, Sam Bush at Telluride

The Telluride Bluegrass Festival will return to its home in the Colorado box canyon on June 19-22. The festival has announced that Ryan Adams & The Cardinals, Hot Rize and Arlo Guthrie have been added to the line-up of artists who will participate in the 35th annual installment of the festival. They join a roster that already includes: Yonder Mountain String Band, Leftover Salmon, Ricky Skaggs & Bruce Hornsby, Punch Brothers featuring Chris Thile, Uncle Earl, Bela Fleck and The Swell. In addition, Sam Bush will make his 34th consecutive appearance at the event. Camping and festival passes are still on sale at the Telluride Bluegrass website.
