Gov’t Mule has confirmed that it will make its 10th annual appearance in New Orleans during the Jazz and Heritage Festival. The group will perform on May 2 and 3 at the Contemporary Arts Center as part of the Superfly During Jazzfest series. The Mule began its ten year run on 5/2/99 opening for the funky Meters. Since then the group has delivered numerous notable gigs including its Deepest End performance on 5/3/03 which drew in more than two dozen guests musicians. Gov’t Mule will not likely have so many sit-ins for these shows, but it is likely that some additional artists will join the band at the CAC.
