Just days after signing a twelve-year pact with U2, Live Nation has announced a similar deal with U-Melt that will bring the parties together for more than a decade. The twelve year agreement with the former Jambands.com New Groove of the Month, includes all tour revenues, merchandise and maintenance of the bands website, UMelt.com. Michael Cohl, Live Nation chairman of the board and CEO of Live Nation Artists explains, This was the logical move. Now were dominant in the U category. U-Melt will celebrate the signing with a rare New York appearance next week. Cohl adds, U-Melt hasnt hit New York in a while and we want to show people how far theyve grown. Expect to expect the unexpected. The late night gig at New Yorks Sullivan Hall, promises to feature two full sets and an encore filled with original music and covers. Special guests are expected.
