While lead singer/keyboardist Zach Gill tours the world with Jack Johnson, the members of ALO have confirmed some side-gigs around San Francisco (and beyond). Bassist Steve Adams will play a few more shows with Big Light, including a show at San Franciscos Red Devil Lounge this evening, a spot at the Elbo Room on May 21 and an appearance at the Desert Rocks Music Festival on May 24. He also continues to play bass with Tea Leaf Green while Reed Mathis is on the road with Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey. Meanwhile, guitarist Dan Lebowitz will perform with New Monsoons Bo Carper at Berkeley, CAs Ashkenaz this Friday, as part of a benefit for Greenaction for Health & Environmental Justice that also features David Gans and Jolly Gibsons. Finally, drummer Dave Brogan is putting the final touches on a solo album, which is being produced by The Mother Hips Tim Bluhm.
