David Byrne will reunite with Brian Eno for both an album and tour later this year. Eno worked with Byrne and the Talking Heads from 1978-1982, producing classic albums like More Songs About Buildings and Food,_ Fear of Music_ and Remain in Light. The pair also collaborated on Byrnes first solo album, My Life in the Bush of Ghosts. Many credit Eno with introducing Talking Heads to the afro-beat and world music sounds that informed the groups work in the early 1980s and Byrnes solo work in the years since. The song-based project is expected to hit stores before 2009, coinciding with a national tour where the pair will lean heavily on Talking Heads classics.

ABB: No Beacon Shows Until 2009

The Allman Brothers Band has postponed its annual residency at New Yorks Beacon Theatre until 2009. After canceling their run of May performances while Gregg Allman recovers from treatment for Hepatitis C, the group originally hoped to play the Beacon this fall. Instead, the group will return to the Beacon in early 2009 for a series of shows that will commemorate the groups 40th Anniversary.

New Yorks a second home to us, Allman said in the statement. We love playing there and are as disappointed as anybody not to be able to get there this time.
The Allman Brothers Band still plans to hit the road this August with special guests Bob Weir & RatDog. As of press time, the group has confirmed appearances in Wantagh, NY (8/13), Holmdel, NJ (8/15), Mansfield, MA (8/16), Canandaigua, NY (8/22) and Camden, NJ (8/23). Dates for shows in upstate New York, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Michigan, Illinois and Colorado are expected to be confirmed soon.
