On the heels of their recent Jammy nomination in the Show of the Year category, the good folks at USTORM will host another benefit concert this week. The gig will take place at Chicagos Martyrs this Wednesday, drawing together members of Umphrey’s McGee, Jack Straw and New Groove winners Cornmeal, along with special guest Lubriphonic. Judging by past USTORM benefits, the gig should feature a number of special guests and unique collaborations.

In other Umphreys McGee news, this Thursday drummer Kris Myers will open for Blind Melon at Chicagos Metro as part of the band Van Ghost. The Chicago-based group, which is spearheaded by local hero Michael Harrison Berg, features another familiar face: Jennifer Hartswick. Umphreys McGee will perform at Summer Camp on May 23.
