Toubab Krewe, Perpetual Groove, Dubconscious and Telepath are among the acts slated to appear at the Vortex Music Festival. The gathering will take place on June 27 and 28 at North Carolinas Asheville Civic Center, featuring a number of Asheville and regionally-based bands, as well as a Moog-sponsored electronica stage. Acts scheduled to appear include SeepeopleS, Laura Reed and Deep Pocket, Yo Mama’s Big Fat Booty Band, Stephanies Id, Strut, Josh Phillips Folk Festival, Black Eyed Susan, Moksa, Thunder Drums, Marsupial, Blues Forgotten, Kero, Project 313, Chad FX, Nick Bien and Hardcut, among others.

In addition, this year’s inaugural event will sponsor three nonprofit organizations: Child Abuse Prevention Services, NCAHA and Manna Food Bank. For those unable to attend, the event will be broadcast on 105.9 The Mountain.
