Joan Osborne made her name playing Manhattan clubs Wetlands and will celebrate her life in New York over the past twenty years on the new album Little Wild One.

‘It’s a place-specific album,’ Osborne said in a statement. ‘I was reading a lot of Walt Whitman and thinking about his spiritual view of what a city can be. I think we were all newly grateful for the experience of the city after September 11.
For the project, Osborne reunited with producer/writers Rick Chertoff, Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian, the creative team behind her breakthrough Relish. The singer will preview material off Little Wild One when she performs at Pleasantville, NYs Pleasantville Music Festival this Saturday. Graham Parker, deSoL and Back Door Slam are among the other acts on the bill.
