Organist Robert Walter cut his teeth in the Greyboy Allstars, branded his name as the leader of the 20th Congress and has devoted the past few months to his own trio. After releasing the well-received jazz/funk album Cure All, Walter will hit the road for an extended West Coast tour. For this outing, his trio will include veteran New Orleans drummer Johnny Vidacovich and Astral Project bassist James Singleton. The trios tour will kick off with a two-night run at Oakland, CAs Yoshis (7/22-23), before making stops in Santa Cruz (7/24), Malibu (7/25), San Diego, CA (7/26), Seattle (8/14), Portland, OR (8/15) and Squaw Valley, CA (8/16). Walter will gear up for his run with a series of hometown shows throughout, including an appearance at d.b.a this evening.
