The New Deal had been scheduled to appear at the ATMA Rising Music and Arts Festival in Warsaw, NY on Saturday August 9. It now turns out that bassist Dan Kurtz will be unable to attend the gig, however, the group’s Jamie Shields and Darren Shearer will still perform. Shields and Shearer have nabbed STS9 bass player David Murphy and the trio will once again appear as the JOIN. This leaves only one confirmed 2008 New Deal gig, this coming Friday at Camp Bisco in Mariaville, NY.
