Michael Frantis 10th annual 911 Power to the Peaceful Festival take place September 6 at San Franciscos Golden Gate Park. In addition to Franti & Spearhead, Ziggy Marley, Warren Haynes, King Britt, Cheb i Sabbah and a variety of renowned DJ’s and other international acts will perform at the free event. A number of speakers will also be on hand, including the Tibetan Lama Namkha Rinpoche. After the days Golden Gate Park festivities wind down, The Mezzanine will host an official after party featuring a performance by Franti & Spearhead, as well as an all-star jam session and DJ dance party. The following day Franti will lead a Power to the Peaceful Yoga class at Yoga Flow Castro. The Spearhead singer has been practicing Yoga since shortly after 9/11. Before then, Spearhead will perform at Steamboat Springs, COs Howelson Hill this Friday.
