As previous reported, the Disco Biscuits will take a few months off from touring this fall to write new material and refresh the batteries. In the interim, bassist Marc Brownstein will devote his attention to a slew of side-projects. On Wednesday August 27, Brownstein, Disco Biscuits keyboardist Aron Magner, American Babies guitarist Tom Hamilton and Duo drummer Joe Russo will revive their supergroup Electron for a performance aboard the Temptress, one of the ships that sails as part of Rock’s Off Boat Cruise series.

Brownstein and Magner will also play a series of shows as Conspirator. In addition to a previously confirmed appearance at Asheville, NCs Trinumeral Festival on August 8, Conspirator will play an official STS9 after party at Portland, ORs Bossanova Ballroom on August 22 and augment one of the groups Live PA sets at Seattles Showbox on August 23.
All of these gigs will culminate with a special Halloween show at New Yorks Highline Ballroom. The event has been dubbed The Pumpkin Conspiracy will feature fulls sets by Conspirator, Telepath and Orchard Lounge. Fans are encouraged to wear orange costumes to the show.
