More Soulshine for Ron Holloway
Govt Mule stopped by Wilmington, DEs Grand Opera House last night and used the opportunity to jam with an old friend. Saxophonist Ron Holloway, who has played with Warren Haynes in many different settings over the years, emerged near the end of the groups first set to sit in on Devil Likes It Slow and Blind Man In The Dark. Holloway took the stage once again during the groups second set for a take on Sco-Mule that featured Oye Como Va and Smoke On The Water teases, as well as a run through Dirty Work and Thorazine Shuffle. The night ended with the encore of Haynes trademark Soulshine, which featured both Holloway on saxophone and a bonus first gospel verse. Rose Hill Drive will join Govt Mule at Atlantic City, NJs House of Blues this evening.
