In a bit of belated news worthy of reporting, Col. Bruce & The Quark Alliance welcomed some unexpected guests to the stage last weekend. The group was performing at Roanoke Virginias 202 Market before an audience that included ever-so-slightly disgraced MLB pitcher Roger Clemens (last seen with the New York Yankees: ‘Of all the dramatic things I’ve ever seen, Roger Clemens is standing right in George Steinbrenner’s box announcing he is back!’). Following the band’s second set, Clemens and his son Wade approached the group and then emerged with the Quark Alliance for what has been described as ‘an American Idol-esque tryout rendition of Steppenwolfs ‘Born To Be Wild.’‘ Next up for Col. Bruce & The Quark Alliance is a performance on Friday August 15 in Augusta, GA at Surrey Tavern.
