New Monsoon will record a live album in Texas next month. The group is currently touring in support of its aptly named New Monsoon V, which was produced by former Grateful Dead producer John Cutler. The San Francisco-based band will record its upcoming appearances at Dallas Granada Theater (9/17), Austins Parish Room (9/19) and Houstons Warehouse Live (9/20) for its new live project, which is tentatively scheduled for release later this year. The album will be New Monsoon’s second live release and first since the Jammy nominated Live at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
