Kaki King will perform with her side-project Day Sleeper at New Yorks Annex this evening. The guitar-virtuoso recently returned to New York following an appearance at San Franciscos Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival where she played before thousands on the Presidio stage. While King describes her recent work as more in line with current

shoegazing or indie-rock sounds, Day Sleeper allows the guitarist to play with more experimental and instrumental textures. Also on the bill for tonights performance are
Adam Groves and Weller Grant, both of whom feature Northern State drummer Seth Johnson. King will then open her national tour in Milford, CT on September 4.
