Last night, Mike Gordon performed at Los Angeles The Roxy and invited a handful of special guests onstage, some more expected than others. Halfway through Gordons performance New York-based, Brazilian-flavored saxophonist Jenny Hill took the stage for the new Gordon original Radar Blip. Soon after, hip-hop personality Fonzworth Bentley made a surprise appearance with Gordon for a run through of his song ‘Brawlin.’

Best known as the host of MTVs From G’s to Gents and personal assistant to Sean ‘Puff Daddy/P. Diddy/Diddy’ Combs, Fonzworth Bentley recently collaborated with Gordon offstage in Vermont. Hes almost more known as a dancer and he has his own MTV show but hes got his own music, Gordon said in a recent Jambands.com interview. He was P Diddys assistant originally but hes got his own career going and his own album and he actually came to Vermont. Hes somebody maybe not as obscure but obscure in the jambands world because I like drawing from all sorts of unexpected sources. After Bentley left the stage, a more familiar face, Marco Benevento, emerged to jam with the group on the Doobie Brothers ‘Takin’ It To The Streets.’
