While many of our readers may have first learned abut Horning’s Hideout eight years ago when the String Cheese Incident held its first event at the facility, Horning’s has been in operation for quite a while longer. Indeed, this marks the 25th year of the North Plains, Oregon park, which will mark the occasion with an anniversary party. The event will take place on September 20 and 21, with the Piano Throwers (featuring Los Lobos’ Steve Berlin) headlining, along with many other musical acts including 5 String Short, Black Lodge, Boondogel, Bucyrus Erie, Cabezon, Garcia Birthday Band and Jacob Merlin Band. Tickets for the event, which will include an evening of camping and two days of music, are priced at a fitting $25, with additional details at the Horning’s website.
