Warren Haynes welcomed a number of familiar faces to the stage over the weekend while performing at Telluride, COs Telluride Blues & Brews Festival. On Saturday Haynes and Govt Mule offered a solo set at the festivals main fairgrounds that drew in Susan Tedeschi on both It Hurts Me Too and Feel So Bad and saxophonist Ron Holloway on the latter composition, as well as a jam based around The Other One, Devil Likes It Slow and Soulshine. Both guests also showed up at Haynes solo set at the nearby Juke Joint. Tedeschi emerged partway through Haynes set for Ray LaMontagne’s ‘Shelter,’ ‘Waste Of My Time, Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright and Key To The Highway. Holloway showed up on the latter cut and then helped the guitarist close out his set proper with a take on Sad And Deep As You. As expected, Tedeschi also performed with her husband Derek Trucks the following day when he arrived at the festival with his band.

Govt Mule will open its fall tour with a special evening with performance at Burlington, VTs Flynn Theatre on October 30. Tedeschi will appear at Ridgefield , CTs Ridgefield Playhouse on October 9.
