As we reported yesterday, on Monday night, Phil Lesh & Friends performed a public dress rehearsal for their upcoming tour at Larkspur, CAs Sweetwater Station. Last evening the group returned for a two hour set in which Lesh was once again joined by Larry Campbell, Jackie Greene, Steve Molitz and Barry Sless. In addition, for the second straight night John Molo was unavailable and so Lesh’s agent Jonathan Levine appeared behind the kit. The setlist included the Phil & Friends debut performance of the Jerry Garcia/Robert Hunter composition ‘So Many Roads,’ the first appearance of the Ryan Adams song ‘Easy Plateau’ since 2006 and the return to P&F of another Grateful Dead favorite, ‘Ramble On Rose.’
Phil Lesh & Friends may well return to Sweetwater Station tonight. The group will then kick off a tour at Columbia, MDs Merriweather Post Pavilion on September 30.
