On Saturday, Assembly of Dust headlined South Burlington, VTs Higher Ground. To mark the occasion, Phish bassist Mike Gordon took the stage with the group for Assembly of Dusts Arc of A Sun, as well as a segue from the Allman Brothers Bands Aint Wastin Time No More into Sometimes. Gordon is a longtime fan of AOD and has sat in with the group on occasion over the years. Assembly of Dust has also confirmed that it will ring in 2009 with headlining spots at Northampton, MAs Pearl Street on December 30 and 31. The Brew will open both shows.
In other Assembly Of Dust news, the group recently checked in for a session at Maines Thundering Sky Studios to record tracks for the follow up to their 2007 album, _ Recollection_. AODs Nate Wilson and Adam Terrell also released the new album Unbound as a free digital download under the name the Nate Wilson Group.
