The Hardly Strictly Bluegrass festival took place the weekend at San Franciscos Golden Gate Park. The multi-day event featured an eclectic mix of bands, including Robert Plant and Alison Krauss, Steve Earle & The Bluegrass Dukes, Steve Earle & The Bluegrass Dukes, Global Drum Project featuring Mickey Hart & Zakir Hussain, Del McCoury Band and Jerry Douglas. Local favorites Tea Leaf Green performed on the Arrow Stage Sunday and invited a number of familiar faces out for a few songs. With bassist Reed Mathis on the road with Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey, ALOs Steve Adams performed with Tea Leaf Green throughout the bands evening set. Guitarist Eric McFadden also took the stage with the group for a run through Earth and Sky, while Adams ALO guitarist Dan Lebowitz sat in on both Stick to the Shallows and The Devil’s Pay. Tea Leaf Green will appear at Eugene, ORs Wow Hall this evening.
