On Saturday, the members of the Disco Biscuits a below the radar show under their instrumental alias TractorBeam at Falls Church, VAs The State Theatre. Originally the show was slated to feature Conspirator (the side-project of Disco Biscuits bassist Marc Brownstein and Aron Magner) and Dr. Fameus (the solo project of Disco Biscuits drummer Allen Aucoin), but a night before the gig the Disco Biscuits confirmed that guitarist Jon Gutwillig would in fact be in attendance.

TractorBeam ran through instrumental versions of a number of Disco Biscuits songs, including Digital Buddha, Confrontation, Pink Floyds Run Like Hell, Cyclone and Mindless Dribble, with Brothers Past/American Babies guitarist Tom Hamilton joining in for most of the night. Aucoin also connected the bands two sets with a
Dr. Fameus performance. The rare TractorBeam date was the culmination of a few Brownstein, Magner and Aucoin sit ins while Conspirator and Dr. Fameus have been on the road.
The members of the Disco Biscuits have only played one other show since taking the fall off to finish their new album. The groups next performance will take place at the Caribbean Holidaze retreat in December.
