In addition to Govt Mule, this years lineup will also include the Allman Brothers Band, Del McCoury Band, Derek Trucks Band, Steve Earle, Michael Franti Acoustic featuring Jay Bowman, Travis Tritt & Marty Stuart, Johnny Winter, Ruthie Foster, J.J. Grey, Col. Bruce Hampton, Ivan Neville’s Dumpstaphunk, Robert Kearns, Kevn Kinney, Eric Krasno, Joan Osborne and Mickey Raphael, among others.

As in now tradition, an annual Pre-Jam will take place at the nearby Orange Peel on December 11. The events 20th anniversary celebration will also feature the first Christmas Jam Comedy Show hosted by longtime Haynes fan Lewis Black and a variety of Xmas Jam By Day concerts and other events.
In the old days, wed get in two or three cars and drive down to WNCW to promote the event the night before, Haynes recently told Relix. Then we decided we needed a tour bus, so we all pilled in and drove down. But after we did that for two or three years we just realized were spending way too much time traveling there. So eventually they decided to come to us for the anything-goes pre-jam, which is now at The Orange Peel, and well take over the radio for a few hours.
A handful of additional acts will be added to the events lineup in the coming weeks. Govt Mule will open its fall tour with new bassist Jorgen Carlsson in Burlington, VT this evening.
