Last night marked the 10th show of Phil Lesh’s current Nokia Theatre run. The group spiced up the occasion, by bringing out Joan Osborne on vocals mid-way through the second set. Osborne was a member of the 2003 incarnation of the Dead with Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Bill Kreutzmann, Jimmy Herring, Rob Barraco and Jeff Chimenti. She also has appeared with Phil Lesh & Friends on occasion over the past few years and on Thursday night at the Nokia, Osborne stepped out to sing lead on ‘Sugaree.’ Tonight, Lesh and his band return to the Nokia.
