As we reported on Monday, Railroad Earth and Jorma Kaukonen will deliver an acoustic performance this coming Sunday at The Tabernacle in Mt. Tabor, New Jersey. The band has a few select holiday shows on the horizon, while the group’s Tim Carbone will add another venture to his plate in 2009. Watch for music from The Contribution, a new project that presently includes Carbone and The String Cheese Incident’s Keith Moseley and Jason Hann along with Jeff Miller and Phil Ferlino from New Monsoon. The Contribution will be studio-bound in ’09 to record self-penned material to be released later in the year. Carbone also reports he’s in the process of finishing up a book on his travels in India with the Dharma Bums and will be heading into the studio soon wearing his producer’s hat for Great American Taxi (his recent production credits include Boris Garcia’s Once More In to The Bliss). All of the above woven into a busy touring schedule with Railroad Earth. Report by Brian Robbins
