Ben Harper has confirmed a few additional dates with his new band Relentless7. In addition to previously announced shows in Solana Beach (12/3), Los Angeles (12/4-5), Santa Cruz, CA (12/7), San Francisco (12/8) and Asheville, NC (12/13), Restless7 will now also appear at New Yorks Mercury Lounge on December 11. The group will then head to Byron Bay, Australia for appearances at the East Coast Blues & Roots Music Festival on April 11 and 13.
The guitarists new band features Jason Mozersky (guitar), Jesse Ingalls (bass, keyboards) and Jordan Richardson (drums). Mozersky has collaborated with Harper a number of times over the years, and the guitarist even appears his on the Innocent Criminals 2006 release, Both Sides Of The Gun. A full-length album is expected to hit stores in 2009.
A few Relentless7 songs are now streaming online, including covers of Led Zeppelins Good Times Bad Times and Prince’s ‘Purple Rain.’ The group has also launched an official Twitter page.
