T-Bone Burnett is producing the forthcoming studio debut from Moonalice. The self-titled disc is currently set for a March 24 release from the group, which consists of G.E. Smith, Barry Sless, Pete Sears, Ann McNamee, Roger McNamee and Jimmy Sanchez with Jack Casady joining in on occasion. Moonalice will feature both a CD and DVD, containing ‘five versions of the album that will delight the ears of music lovers by delivering the classic warmth of the vinyl LP era on a wide range of playback devices.’ In the interim, the band is offering The Moonalice Legend: Posters & Words, Vol. 1 a paperback compilation of posters, setlists and stories from the group’s first year. Moonalice will close out the New Year on the West Coast, with a December 30 show at the Hollywood House of Blues with the Marshall Tucker Band, followed by a December 31 gig opening for Tea Leaf Green at The Mezzanine in San Francisco.
