On December 5, RAQs Chris Michetti played a set of music under his new alias MICHETTI at Burlington, VTs famed Nectars. The gig was a success and now the guitarist plans to take his solo vehicle on the road.
This project has taken my skills to another level, and I hope you too will join me on this quest by enjoying the new music that we have to offer, Michetti wrote on his website. A few months back I began composing solo music in my home studio without any other intention than satisfying my musical soul. What you hear on this site is that very same music, all composed, performed, and recorded by myself in my studio for you the listener to enjoy. All songs are tracked using Ableton Live 7.0, and the guitar and bass parts were recorded through the Line 6 Tone Port. The drums are programmed by manipulating Live’s Impulse clips. I have had a great time recording this instrumental craziness, and am so glad the you are able to enjoy these tunes, as well as many others that I shall put up in the future, for free. Even more exciting is the fact that I have been rehearsing and soon will be performing the music with real human beings, live onstage, where all the magic happens.

As of press time, MICHETTI will perform again in Burlington on January 16, before taking his project south to New Yorks Sullivan Hall for a special Valentines Day appearance. The latter gig will also feature an opening set from RAQ bassist Jay Burwick.
