Due to circumstances beyond the bands control, U-Melt has been forced to move its New Year’s Eve show from Asbury Park, NJs The Stone Pony to the nearby Wonder Bar. Though the new venue is located just three blocks north of The Stone Pony, the group has now been forced to make its show 21+. A message from the groups management says the following:

We are thankful to The Wonder Bar for being available under such last minute circumstances, and we are happy to be able to move U-Melt’s New Year’s Eve performance just down the street to another legendary venue which is also within walking distance to the Berkeley Hotel,, where we have arranged for discounted hotel rooms for the evening. Unfortunately, we deeply regret having to announce that with the change in venue, it is impossible to keep the show accessible to fans under the age of 21. We sincerely apologize to our fans under the age of 21 who have planned on attending U-Melt’s New Year’s Even show, and we hope you understand that the change in venue was out of our hands. Despite reassurances from The Stone Pony for the past month that their emergency construction would definitely be concluded in time for New Year’s Eve, we were just informed over the weekend that due to unforeseeable construction delays, The Stone Pony will not be ready to be re-opened in time. We will be offering a refund to anyone under the age of 21 who has already purchased a ticket.
The group has also shuffled its support acts: Previously confirmed opener Lemon Juice has bowed off the bill, and Keith Kenny will now play an opening set in addition to his previously scheduled tweener spot. Following Kenny, recent New Groove nominees BuzzUniverse will perform, before U-Melt takes the stage for a full two-set show. Finally, Long Island’s The Point will close the night with a late night set. The evenings entertainment is scheduled to stretch well past 3:00 AM.
