Longtime Trey Anastasio Band member Jennifer Hartswick recently relocated to Chicago, but will return to Burlington, VT this evening to perform with her old friends the Grippo Funk Band at Nectars. In addition the groups namesake Dave Grippo, this incarnation of the Funk Band features Brian McCarthy (tenor sax), Ray Vega (trumpet), Bruce Sklar (keyboards), David Diamond (guitar), Aaron Hersey (bass and vocals), Russ Lawton (drums) and Fattie B (MC and DJ).

Looking ahead, Hartwick and her current project Van Ghost will perform at Chicagos

Schubas (1/9), Dekalb, ILs Ottos (1/16) and Chicagos Abbey Pub (1/17). Cornmeal fiddler Allie Kral is scheduled to sit in with the group at all three shows
