The Allman Brothers Band will return to New Yorks Beacon Theatre for another marathon run of shows this March. The extended residency will celebrate both the groups 40th anniversary and the 20th anniversary of the groups first appearance at the Beacon Theatre in 1989. As of press time, the group is expected to headline the room on March 9-10, 12, 13-14, 16-17 and 19-21. The Allman Brothers Beacon residencies are known for both their special guests and their diverse setslits, which range from rarities to special covers and radio anthems.

Though the Allman Brothers Band has close ties with everyone from jazz great Roy Haynes to southern rock veterans The Marshall Tucker Band to the members of Phish and The Dead, most eyes are on two possible special guests: estranged founding member Dickey Betts and guitarist Eric Clapton, the latter of whom has recorded with both Duane Allman and current ABB guitarist Derek Trucks. Betts tour schedule currently places him in the Northeast the days leading up to the Allman Brothers Bands Beacon residency.
