Michigan-based quintet, The Macpodz, will record their first-ever live disc on Friday night in their home state. The band will appear at The Ark in Ann Arbor with Chris Bathgate opening the night. The group has released two studio recordings, 2007’s Genius Food for Super Heroes and 2008’s Orcastrate but has yet to capture a live show for official release. The group will spend much of the coming months in the Midwest, gigging and working on its next studio effort before a Northeast tour in May.
