Donna Jean and the Tricksters will morph into the Donna Jean Godchaux Band this spring. The only holdovers from Donna Jean and the Tricksters will be Godchaux and Zen Tricksters guitarist Jeff Mattson, though the group will likely play many of that band’s original tunes. In addition, the Donna Jean Godchaux Band will feature Godchauxs husband David MacKay on bass, Jason Isbell collaborator Clint Bailey on keyboards and Joe Chirco on drums. The group will make its public debut in April, before stepping onto the festival circuit this summer.
Donna Jean & the Tricksters still have a few shows on the books, including an appearance at Sellersville, PAs Sellersville Theater on February 5. Mike Falzarano and Professor Louie will supply support duties.
