As previously reported, Jeff Tweedy will hit the road later this month for acoustic appearances in Kalamazoo (1/29), Ann Arbor, MI (1/30) and Champaign, IL (1/31). The Wilco frontman will now also make his way to the Northeast for solo gigs at Burlington, VTs Higher Ground (3/26), Northampton, MAs Calvin Theatre and Beacon, NYs

Beacon High Auditorium (3/28). The latter gig will benefit the environmental organization Hudson River Sloop Clearwater.
This is going to be such an exciting year for Clearwater, as we’ll be
celebrating the 40th anniversary of the sloop’s launch and the 90th birthday
of our forever young founder Pete Seeger in May, and, of course, the
Quadricentennial of Henry Hudson’s voyage up our wonderful river Hudson River Sloop Clearwater executive director Jeff Rumpf said in a statement. What better way
to start off our festivities than by hosting a benefit concert with Jeff Tweedy, one of the most remarkable musical artists around.
Clearwater will once again host its annual Great Hudson River Revival this summer. The multi-date event will take place at Croton-on-Hudson, NYs Croton Point Park
on June 20 and 21. With New York-based concert promoter Jon Dindas
taking the reins, the festival is expected to update its folk-leaning lineup for 2009.
