Two weeks ago we reported on the initial tour from the Steve Kimock Crazy Engine. This group will feature the guitarist along with his son John Morgan Kimock on drums, Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band) on Hammond B3, bassist Janis Wallin (Family Groove Company) and The Girls on vocals: Cheryl Rucker and Shirley Starks (Melvin Seals and JGB). As we reported, the group will begin a West Coast run on March 26, at the Crystal Bay Club in Crystal Bay, NV, with shows scheduled through April 5. Now the band has added a series of East Coast shows, that will open on April 16 at Burlington, VT’s Higher Ground. The group will then travel to the South, routing down to Florida and then up to Birmingham, AL for a show at the Workplay Theatre on April 29. From there the Crazy Engine will head over to New Orleans for gigs at Tipitina’s Uptown on April 30 and Tipitina’s French Quarter on May 1.
