Tonight, Chicago-based Family Groove Company is in Atlanta at Smiths Olde Bar in the midst of a six week tour that will precede bassist Janis Wallin’s stint with the Steve Kimock Crazy Engine. Wallin will tour with the new Kimock group from late March through May 1. Before then, Family Groove Company, which released both Live in Chicago and Models and Metrics in 2008, will travel from the South back to FGC’s native Midwest and also to Colorado for a series of dates that will include bills with The Bridge (tonight), Strange Design, Soulive, Cornmeal and ekoostik hookah.
