This past October, guitarist Jake Cinninger showcased the new Moog guitar during Umphreys McGees headlining performance at New Yorks annual Moogfest. On February 21, Umphreys will play a benefit for The Bob Moog Foundation at Asheville, NCs MoDaddys. The benefit will take place before Umphreys McGee headline the nearby The Orange Peel later in the evening and will find each band member using a custom tailored rig provided by The Bob Moog Foundation. Proceeds from the event will assist The Bob Moog Foundation reach its goal of creating a Bob Moog Museum in Asheville.

Umphreys McGee recently completed a three-night run at Minneapoliss First Avenue. On Saturday, area-saxophonist Kevin Sinclair (God Johnson) took the stage with Umphreys for Bright Lights during set 1 and both Eat and The Whos Baba O’Riley during set 2. The group will appear at Madison, WIs Barrymore Theatre this Thursday.
