The economy being what it is, we’ll open the Friday news with information about two upcoming shows that provide value value value. First up, is a free gig this evening in Waterville, Maine by Lotus. The group will perform at Colby College’s Page Commons and is slated to take the stage shortly after 10PM. Lotus is describing this show as a Winter Hammerstrike Tour preview, with the full tour set to commence at the Recher Theater in Towson, MD next Friday the 13th. That is also the night that the Disco Biscuits will open a two night run in Denver at the Ogden Theater. The second of these shows, on Valentine’s Day, Saturday, February 14 will feature a bonus third set from the Biscuits. In the interim, the group is in Austin tonight for a show at Stubb’s.
