This past Saturday, Galactic hosted its Mile High Mardi Gras at Denvers Fillmore Auditorium. The event was a co-bill with JJ Grey & MOFRO and featured an expanded Galactic horn section that included Rebirth Brass Bands Corey Henry and Andrew Baham. Partway through Galactics show-closing set, Grey, the MOFRO Horns and George Porter. Jr all took the stage with Galactic for I Thank You. Grey and Porter then remained onstage for a cover of Robert Palmers Sneaking Sally Through The Alley. Later, the night ended with New Orleans native Henry Butler joining Galactic for a run through Tipitinas. JJ Grey & MOFRO and Galactic will share the stage once again this Wednesday for a performance at Tulsa, OKs Cain’s Ballroom.
