Last night, Jackie Greene headlined San Franciscos Great American Music Hall. In addition to two sets with his solo band, Greene offered a special mini-set with his Deadheads for Obama bandmates Bob Weir and Phil Lesh. The segment opened with Friend of the Devil and featured additional material from the Grateful Dead catalogue, including Dire Wolf, Peggy-O Deep Elem Blues and Ripple. During Greenes second set, fellow Phil Lesh & Friends member Steve Molitz also emerged to play keyboards on a handful of the young singer/songwriters originals. Greene will return to the Great American Music Hall with Weir, Lesh and possibly other guests this evening.
