Dave Matthews Band has confirmed an extensive 49-show tour timed with the the June 2 release of its yet-to-be titled next studio album. The announcement comes shortly after Matthews posted a message on his Twitter page hinting that the groups forthcoming album will probably be a little late.

The groups upcoming tour will focus on the shed circuit from May 27-October 2. As in years past, Dave Matthews Band will offer its stage to a diverse mix of opening acts, including Umphreys McGee, Yonder Mountain String Band, Robert Randolph, Femi Kuti & The Positive Force, The Hold Steady, Old Crow Medicine Show, Jason Mraz, The Hill Country Revue, Donovan Frankenreiter, Robert Earl Keen, G. Love and Special Sauce and Switchfoot. Of particular note are Dave Matthews Bands three-night run at George, WAs Gorge Amphitheatre with G. Love and Yonder Mountain String Band from September 4-6 and the groups first shows at Wantagh, NYs Jones Beach since 1997.
