Tomorrow night, Cornmeal will celebrate Mardi Gras with a show that focuses on the sounds of New Orleans. Fittingly, the group will add a horn section for this performance, with Jennifer Hartswick (Trey Anastasio Band) on trumpet, Mark Thompson (Chicago Afrobeat Project) on Trombone, and Pat Mallenger (Sabertooth) on saxophone. This show will take place in Cornmeal’s hometown of Chicago at Martyrs’ and the band will also return on Wednesday for a show that represents the conclusion of its current weekly Martyrs’ residency.
