Trumpet player Willie Waldman has announced some of the musicians who will participate in his ever-evolving Willie Waldman Project during two weeks of shows in March. Waldman will gig from March 5-18, focusing on the Midwest. moe. drummer Vinnie Amico and bassist JD Westmoreland will fill out the group for the first five dates, starting at Blue Grass Brewing in Louisville. Then, from March 10 onward, Particle’s Steve Molitz will contribute keys to a line-up that will include drummer Tony Austin and guitarist Mark Grundhoefer. Finally, for the final three dates of the tour, Umphrey’s McGee’s Kris Myers will participate, through the March 18 conclusion in Minneapolis at the Cabooze.
