‘Quadlibet For Tender Feet’ and Tricksters Hiatus

‘Quadlibet For Tender Feet’ is the name of musical passage that Bob Weir originally composed for the ‘That’s It For The Other One’ suite (which eventually was incorporated into ‘The Other One’). It is also the name of the event that will place on March 2 at Mexicali Live in Teaneck, NJ when the Zen Tricksters interpret the Grateful Dead’s celebrated 3/2/69 Fillmore West performance. For this show, the Tricksters will be joined by pianist Tom Constanten, who appeared with the Dead on the original evening (some of which was captured for Live Dead). This show also represents the final live gig for the immediate future by the Tricksters, who have announced they will take some time off from performing, as their members pursue solo projects (most notably Tricksters’ founder Jeff Mattson will appear with Donna Jean Godchaux, David MacKay and former Trickster Joe Chirco in the Donna Jean Godchaux Band with Jeff Mattson).
